Who we are

About ShipCars UK

A Thames-side freight forwarder built around one idea: give exporters a straight answer, a firm price and a named person to call.

ShipCars UK (company number 17331791) operates from Unit 62A, Thames Industrial Park in East Tilbury — a few minutes from the Port of Tilbury and London Gateway, and inside the M25 corridor for nationwide collections. That location is not an accident: it lets us receive vehicles and cargo, load containers in our own yard and gate them in without a long inland leg eating into the rate.

Our work splits into three streams. Vehicle shipping covers cars, 4x4s, vans, motorhomes, trucks and agricultural plant, moved by RoRo or containerised where the unit demands it. Container shipping covers FCL and LCL for commercial exporters, removal clients and traders. Air freight covers everything from a pallet of spares to a full unit load device, including dangerous goods and temperature-controlled cargo.

How we work

Every file gets a named coordinator. That person books the space, prepares the customs entry, chases the carrier and calls you when something changes — before you have to ask. We quote in writing with the charges itemised, so you can see exactly what is freight, what is handling and what is destination cost.

Compliance and insurance

All export declarations are lodged through HMRC systems by our own team. Dangerous goods are handled under IATA DGR and IMDG rules with certified packing and declarations. Marine insurance is offered on an all-risk basis at 1.5% of the declared CIF value, and we will always tell you plainly what carrier liability does and does not cover.
