02. Pricing guides and rate boxes

Prices displayed in pricing guides, rate boxes, interactive rate lookups and articles are typical ranges based on recent comparable shipments. They are designed to help you budget and compare options. They do not constitute an offer capable of acceptance.

Unless expressly stated, pricing guides exclude destination port and terminal charges, import duty, import VAT or GST, local taxes, quarantine and inspection fees, demurrage, detention, storage, cleaning, destination delivery and insurance. Actual charges depend on the measured dimensions and weight of the cargo, the loading port, the sailing chosen, exchange rates and carrier surcharges in force on the day of booking.

Only a written quotation issued by our staff is binding, and then only on the terms set out in our Terms and Conditions.

03. Shipping schedules and transit times

Sailing schedules, cut off dates and transit times published on this website are taken from carrier information and are estimates only. They are port to port or airport to airport and exclude UK collection, terminal receiving time, waiting time for space, customs examination, transhipment and inland delivery at destination.

Vessels can be delayed, omit ports, roll cargo to a later sailing or cancel departures altogether because of weather, congestion, mechanical issues or operational decisions by the carrier. A published transit time is not a guarantee of any delivery date, and we accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on a published estimate.

04. Customs, duty and import regulations

Guidance on customs procedures, export documentation, duty and tax relief, transfer of residence, vehicle age limits, right hand drive restrictions, emissions rules, biosecurity and prohibited goods is a summary and is necessarily incomplete. Rules vary between countries and are frequently amended.

The authoritative sources are HM Revenue & Customs, the DVLA, the Export Control Joint Unit and the customs and transport administration of the destination country. Where the financial stakes are significant, obtain confirmation from the destination authority or a licensed customs broker in that country before shipping.

• Vehicle import eligibility and age restrictions can change at short notice.
• Duty and tax rates are set by the importing government and may differ from figures shown.
• Compliance, homologation and roadworthiness requirements are the importer's responsibility.
• Sanctions regimes can prohibit shipments to certain countries or parties.
